Will my horse be checked every day by Hadden Farm staff?

Yes – every horse is checked every day by our staff.  Paddock horses are checked each morning, and yard horses are checked both in the morning and the afternoon.

Do I have to do anything after leaving my horse at Hadden Farm?

Hadden Farm offers an all-inclusive agistment experience, including feeding, farrier work, regular worming and the initial, and on-going annual vaccination of horses against Strangles and Tetanus. If you cannot supply us with a date of last S&T vaccination, we will administer this to the horse on arrival at the property.  At this stage, Hendra vaccination is not required in NSW but we are in regular contact with our vets on-going regarding this.  Please see OUR SUPPLIERS on our website to see our feed suppliers, vets and farriers etc.

Can my regular vet or farrier still attend to my horse while it is at Hadden Farm?

Should you wish to use vets or farriers other than our usual ones, it is the owner's responsibility to make these arrangements and, in consultation with Hadden farm staff, to attend to their own horse during these activities.  If our staff are required to attend, a handling fee of $40 per hour will be charged.

Can I provide my own feed or supplements for my horse?

Specialised supplements can be fed but must be paid for and supplied by the owner with clear, written instructions.  If the horse is on a particular feeding regime that cannot be changed to the farm feed, clients are welcome to provide this but we do not give a discount for this, unless the horse is retired to the farm on a long term basis.

What happens if my horse sustains an injury while on the farm?

Any injuries sustained by any horse will be dealt with immediately by Hadden Farm staff, with all efforts being made to contact the owner prior to any treatments being started.  If we require to call for vet attendance, we will do this whether we can get hold of the client or not.

Can I visit my horse when it is at Hadden Farm?

Owners are welcome to visit their horses between the hours of  7am to  4pm, any day of the year except for Christmas Day – a phone call prior to arrival is requested. Vehicles may not be driven into the paddocks by visiting owners.
